Kyoto HOE!

Lol i know you thought this blog would be about more girl troubel for Steve but actually it's just a short one to talk about my Kyoto trip. So last Friday I went to Kyoto (Thanksgiving for those of you state side). We left at about 7:30 am and caught the trip from Himeji to Kyoto. The train ride sucked cause we had to stand for all hour and 40 min of it, but meh good exercise right? Anyway first temple we went to was Kyomizu which is the most famous temple in Kyoto the leaves were beautiful. After that we went to two other temples (sorry forgot their names) and ended the day in Nanzenji. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves and leave it at that.
After temples I met up with Mack and we had Indian food in downtown which was awsome. Then it was down to do a bit of shopping (well 2 hours worth) and catch the 9:40pm train back to Himeji. I found some really cool pants that I'm going to buy once the new exercise plan I'm working on kicks in and I slim down a bit. SO look forward to seeing Steve's new clothes in 2007!
(Disclaimer I have tons more photo's so if you want more ask ... but I don't feel like uploading all 100 or so of them!)

Have your cake and eat it ... maybe not :(

Ok, so this is the story of a lovely lady … wait I mean this is the tale of a handsome lad. Ok, fine this is just another blog installment. Upon great pressure from various sources I shall talk to you about a funny Christmas twist in Japan. If you are 25+ and it is Christmas and you have no girlfriend/boyfriend you are a Christmas cake! Yep you turn into a pastry if you don’t have a significant other (a lot more useful than being turned into a frog or a giant pumpkin …). Lol. Ok, you don’t turn into a pastry, but you are called one … kinda the equivalent of being called an Old Maid. So all the ladies here who are single are busy trying to find someone … you’d think I’d be able to snag one, but so far no such luck. The main trouble is the married, dating, and single women in Japan generally all act the same to strangers. So unless you know the woman you can’t really know if they are attached and I’m terrible at reading people. Ofcourse you smart people would say “Hey look for a ring dumb ass!” Well that’d be a good idea except about 50% of the women in Japan don’t wear a wedding band >.< ! I’ve got a number of very cute, smart and kind women I work with and according to my co-workers they are all married … but not one of them has a band. So there you have it I will be a pastry in a little over a month unless I find a girlfriend … lol.
Work is still going well. About 4 weeks after this week of school before winter break and then after that I’m at a new school ☹. I’m sad to be leaving Shikama Higashi cause I am just now getting use to the students and the teachers. That and I’ve had lots of fun here. I just hope I get adjusted at my new school faster than here ☹.
Got a new hair cut last week and all the younger peeps I talk with think it’s cool. But the old folks a.k.a. the rents think I look like a 50 year old monk with a receeding hair line! How kind of them I know.

Back again ...

So I'm sorry it's been awhile for you faithful bloggers. I have no excuse other than "I didn't feel like it! :P" But, here I am to fill your blog cravings. Also today for a limited a time only (ok not so limited, but it sounds better so :P!) I have pictures ^^. The first one should be a picture of me on Mount Shosha, which i will show any of you clowns who happen to visit me while I'm over here. It is an awsome place with a Budhist temple at the top and all sort of cool stuff to see. The next picture should be of me in my schools culture day ... all you need to know is that I was in the student drama and was wearing a student uniform making a fool of myself ^^. The last picture is of Chelsea my neighbor. Yes she's a hottie huh?! AAAAAAND she is recently single ... whacha think :). Lol, life isn't all that interesting. I had a fun b-day though I was sick for it so that made it less wild, but I still stayed out till 5 am and was very much intoxicated. I will maybe post picture from the party later if you ask nicely :P. School is still fun though I have to say I'm sad to be leaving in a little over a month and going to my next school for the next two terms. I have enjoyed myself imensely at Shikama Higashi. On the note of schools anyone have contact info for anyone from our trip to Japan ... I'm looking at you Raff!!! I am still trying to hunt down people but with only a name it is very difficult to find people ... there are alot of ...moto's ...yama's ...naka's and ...da's Anywho's I guess I'll wrap up this blog. More later ... if you're good little boys and girls!

Blah!

So the eve of my birthday and I feel like crappy >.< ! This will be a short blog because of that. I have hopes I will be semi well for my b-day. Today was culture day at my school. That means all the classes sang a song the brass band played a few songs and yours truely was in the student drama! Lol, I had 5 lines and I screwed up one of them so I felt pretty lame. But, I am delerious and the students did seem to like the fact I was in it. Well thats all for now. You may or may not see a blog about this weekend >.> depending how cool it was and how much trouble I get into XD.
