Nike+ Number One Hundred Fourty-Nine
So nothing really interesting to report. Just a short one today. I went out on the town with a group last night because Lauren, one of the Aussie from last year, is back in town. It was pretty fun. At the end of the night I found 2000¥ (about $20) in the parking lot next to the bar. Thats about the most exciting thing going on at the moment. Still running (obviously) and gearing up for the trip home. I'm planning on being in Maui July 17th-27th then it's on home and back to work. I really don't want to go, but have to get my master's degree before I loose all interest in getting it :P. Thats all for now.
So yesterday was Hanami at the castle. For those of you who don't know what Hanami it is a festival that runs through cherry blossom season. Yesterday was the big celebration with Taiko (drumming), Eisa dancing (traditional Okinawa dancing) and Koto (Japanese harp/guitar). All month long there will be picnics under the cherry trees. Most likely I'll go with at least one of my schools and a few times with other Alts. Yesterday's festival was lots of fun and interesting to see once again (saw it when I was here in high school and also last year). Not much else to report. School starts again tomorrow and thats about it.
One year ago today my family lost Princess to cancer. For those of you who didn't know me in the US I'd invite you to visit her web site and sign the guest book. http://princessbabygirl.critters.com/ She was more than "just a dog," she truely was a family member. I'd invite you yo read the "Just a Dog" link on her page for more insight into what I mean by being more than a dog. She was a buddha dog and I can still feel her occasionally. She had more inner peace than I could hope to achieve and I still grieve for her.
Nothing new to report just giving a shout out to all my homies in Wonderland (a.k.a. USA). How is the Mad Hatter treating you guys? Is he still war mongering and miss spelling stuff? Still having those annoying problems with the Cheshire Cat messing with the price of gas? As I said life is still status quo over here. Had a number of work parties last week and so this week is pretty chill. I'll let you get back to your daily life at the Jabberwocky farm.
